One shot dead in Nazimabad

A man shot dead by unknown armed man near Nazimabad Underpass here on Wednesday, the police said. The victim identified as Asghar was driving a grey car bearing registration No AAC-803, when unidentified motorcyclist opened fire at him and fled the scene leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. Police said the initial investigations have suggested the incident might be the result of target killing. Three bullet casings were found from the scene, the police told. Police said a female passenger was allegedly present inside the vehicle at the time of incident who left the scene, however, police claimed to have detained her and she is being investigated. Besides, phone calls are also being traced to ascertain the fact behind the incident.
