In its daily report about hydrological conditions of the country, the Flood Warning Centre said on Wednesday that River Chenab at Qadirabad is in medium flood level. River Indus at Kalabagh & Chashma, River Chenab at Khanki and River Kabul at Nowshera are in low flood level.
It said due to sufficient water flow in the mighty Indus during past one week the Tarbela dam on the mighty Indus is just ten feet below its maximum height of 1550ft while 5.5MAF water has been stored in the reservoir for sowing, growing and maturing winter crops in south Punjab and Sindh province. However the national water management authority has warned that due to severe drought conditions in the country during the months of April, May and June, the Mangla dam on the river Jhelum might not be filled this season to its full capacity and the farmers of the central Punjab would have to face abnormal water shortage for Rabi crops.

However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, D I Khan, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Kalat, Zhob divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.
