Ihsan Ullah clinched the trophy of the Independence Day Cycling Race of 59 kilometers from Peshawar to Mardan on Wednesday organized by KP Cycling Association with the collaboration of Directorate of Sports KP. Assistant Commissioner (AC), Mardan, Imran Khan was the chief guest on this occasion. Deputy Secretary Transport Khalid Khan, District Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, Mir Bashar Khan, President KP Cycling Association Nisar Ahmad, officials, cyclists were also present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Ihsan Ullah got first position by bewildering fellow cyclists in the 49 km race started from Ring Road near Motorway Inter-Change and culminated in General Ihsan Khan Sports Complex Mardan. Arshad got second position while Ojaz took third position respectively.
Cyclists from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rawalpindi, POF and Islamabad also took part. Member Provincial Assembly Kamran Bangash was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and given a start to the cyclists competed in the Independence Day Cycle Race. At the end, the chief guest Assistant Commissioner Mardan Imran Khan gave away trophies, certificates and cash prizes to the position holders.
Nisar Ahmad on this occasion informed the gathering that Independence Day Cycling Race is an annual feature of the KP Cycling Association carries a prize money of Rs 0.1 million.
