On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,334. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.485 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,875.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.725 billion followed by WTI crude oil 1.185 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 895.694 million, silver PKR 424.953 million, platinum PKR 400.833 million, NSDQ100 PKR 275.034 million, SP500 PKR 205.663 million, DJ PKR 179.247 million, copper PKR 154.621 million, natural gas PKR 34.515 million and Brent crude oil PKR 3.947 million.
In agriculture 7 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 3.511 million were traded.
