The Pakistan People's Party members in the Punjab Assembly will abstain from voting in the election for the office of Chief Minister Punjab. PPP parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly Hassan Murtaza said the PPP members would attend the session without participating in the election of leader of the House.
He said the PML-N and the PTI are two sides of the same coin. "We will stay in the house without voting for either of the two candidates from both sides." He said two members of the party had cast their votes during the election for the office of speaker and deputy speaker. The party has issued show cause notice to both Nabil Raees and Ghazanfar Langha for violating the party policy, he added.
