The Health Care Commission of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made functional the Monitoring and Evaluation Department so as to inspect and evaluate the conditions of public and private sectors hospitals and medical laboratories in the province. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Health Care Commission, Azhar Sardar, while formally issuing a notification about it has directed Abdul Nasir, director Evaluation and Monitoring to start inspection of both private and public sectors' hospitals and private laboratories in the province and submit a report to the commission.
The notification further said that the Monitoring and Evaluation Department would inspect all the hospitals and laboratories weather the sanctioned and required facilities for treatment is available in these hospitals or not. The department would also inspect that whether the facilities provided to the hospitals for treatment is being properly utilized for the treatment of patients.
As per the notification, a four members team would also accompanied with the director Evaluation and Monitoring and inspect all the medical laboratories in the districts as to see whether the laboratories are up to the standard are not.
