Supreme Court (SC) on Friday ordered reinstatement of two female employees of Sindh Education Department on their jobs. A three-member bench of SC headed by Justice Musheer Alam and comprised of Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Faisal Arab at SC's Karachi Registry heard the case regarding the appointments made in Sindh Education Department when Pir Mazharul Haq was Provincial Education Minister.
Two employees of Education Department Rukhsana Parveen and Farzana Parveen, the real sisters were sacked from their jobs after the department termed their appointment "illegal." They challenged their dismissal from jobs in Sindh High Court (SHC) Sukkur bench.
The SHC passed the order in favour of two female employees; however, Education Department challenged that order it in SC.
The female teachers told the SC bench that the courts have given verdicts in their favour since 2012; but their services have not been restored, so far. They stated that they topped the NTS tests held for the appointments in the Education Department and dispelled the stance of the Department that they got jobs fraudulently in Naushehro Feroze.
They submitted that some other teachers were inducted in Education through fraudulent means and action should be taken against those teachers instead of them. SC ordered their reinstatement on jobs of female teachers and directed Education Department to issue orders, in this regard.
