On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,387. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.931 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,434. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.145 billion, followed byNSDQ100 PKR 1.168 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.079 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 766.430 million, DJ PKR 185.621 million, platinum PKR 180.383 million, silver PKR 179.460 million, copper PKR 92.579 million, SP500 PKR 67.433 million, natural gas PKR 49.615 million and Brent crude oil PKR 16.461 million. In agriculture 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.554 million were traded.
