Pakistan Bedwear Exporters Association (PDEA) has welcomed the appointment of Dr Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan as the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue and Secretary Revenue. Shabbir Ahmed Patron-in-Chief, Pakistan Bedwear Exporters Association, said that Dr Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, earlier working as Secretary Board of Investment is a very positive and good decision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
"We have noted that presently whatever decisions are being made by the Prime Minister are at the right directions on the postings of the senior officers and if this types of posting is made, we are sure that we would be able to get out of the economy mess soon," he added.
Dr Jehanzeb was also former commercial counselor in France and worked in different departments and has vast experience in managing the situations, he maintained.
Presently, Pakistan's exports are dismal, unemployment increasing, foreign exchange reserves are gradually declining and billions of rupees refunds are pending. The association believes that under the leadership of Dr Jehanzeb the FBR performance will improve, he added.
Shabbir said Dr Jehanzeb has been credited with the success of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project in Punjab in his role as Chairman Planning and has a wide vision for a better economic environment.
