President Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and former Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussain has filed his nomination papers to contest by-election of NA-65 Talagang as a joint candidate of coalition partners, PML-Q and PTI. NA 65 seat has been vacated by Ch Pervaiz Elahi, cousin brother of Shujat Hussain who has been elected Speaker Punjab Assembly.
Party sources claimed that Ch Shujaat Hussain enjoys support of leaders and workers of both the parties, former parliamentarians as well as notables of the area and prominent personalities of all spheres of life and the people of district Chakwal, who heartily welcomed Ch Shujaat Hussain's decision to contest by-election from NA-65 constituency as his presence in Parliament would promote moderation, tolerance and accommodation on vital national issues owing to his personal social and friendly relations with all parliamentary leaders.
