On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,436. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.444 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,613.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.693 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.475 billion), NSDQ100 PKR 1.134 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.006 billion, DJ PKR 488.336 million, silver PKR 296.987 million, copper PKR 196.177 million, platinum PKR 81.734 million, SP500 PKR 35.745 million, natural gas PKR 26.341 million and Brent crude oil PKR 8.990 million. In agriculture 3 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.530 million were traded.
