The meeting of Divisional Peace Committee was held here at Circuit House with the Divisional Commissioner Asif Iqbal Ch in the chair. RPO Ghulam Mehmud Dogar, Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad, CPO Ishfaq Ahmad Khan, Addl. Commissioner Coordination Rai Wajid Ali and other officers were present on the occasion. The meeting was attended by Qari Yasin Zafar, Syed Muhammad Jafar Naqvi, Aslam Bhalli, Syed Tjamal Hussain Zaidi, Mufti Abdul Moeed Asad, Masudul Hassan Tirmzi, Moulana Zahid Anwar, Moulana Naseer ud Din Naseer, Moulana Hameed ud Din Rizvi, Mumtaz Hussain Gondal, Mufti Muhammad Aslam, Kh Ameen ud Din, Moulana Muhammad Khalil Ashrafi, Haji Muhammad Raza Shah, Sahibzada Mansha Saliq, Moulana Hamza Balori, Moulana Khalid Mehmud Azimabadi and others.
The Divisional Commissioner Asif Iqbal Ch welcomed the members of Divisional Peace Committee and said that religious harmony and unity was vital to keep the law & order situation in tact during the sensitive days of Muharramul Harram. He urged upon the ulema karam of all sects to forge unity among their ranks and play role for making the sentiments of tolerance, love, mutual respect and cooperation more strengthened to foil the any conspiracy against peace. He said that vigilant eye should be kept on the anti social elements and fiery speakers should not be invited to avoid religious hatred. He assured that the positive proposals and suggestions would be welcomed for further improvement of Muharram security plan and other arrangements.
He said that patch works of the roads on the roots of Muharram processions, cleanliness, removal of the encroachments and other necessary arrangements would be made for the smooth observance of Muharramul Harram. RPO Ghulam Mehmud Dogar gave the credit to the ulema for maintaining peace and said that the police security arrangements could not be made successful without the vibrant cooperation of ulema and community. He said that Muharram Control Room would be remained operational for the monitoring of the security arrangements and the police would fulfill their responsibilities for maintain the peace during Muharramul Harram. During the meeting the members of Divisional Peace Committee assured their full cooperation for maintaining peace and religious harmony. They identify some issues and gave different proposals for the removal of irritants to implement the Muharram security plan. At the end prayer was offers for the peaceful observance of Muharramul Harram and prosperity of the nation and country.
