A leading mobile phone importer met tax authorities here on Wednesday to highlight various issues related to assessment of cellular phones as well as customs duty at the import stage. Sources told Business Recorder here on Wednesday that the top importer of cellular phone sets called on tax authorities of Federal Board of Revenue here at the FBR House.
According to the sources, major issues are related to the assessment of sales tax and customs duty on the import of different categories of mobile phones and assessment of sales tax based on a past clarification issued by the FBR.
