The Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice on Wednesday thoroughly discussed problems pertaining to getting succession certificate and sought more details on it from National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and other relevant departments. The meeting of the committee was held here in the Parliament House with Senator Javed Abbasi in the chair.
The committee discussed the proposal of a piece of legislation for provision of simple mechanism, in order to address the miseries and difficulties of common citizens in obtaining succession certificate. The committee members also discussed other related matters to the succession certificate which included declaring the family tree prepared by the NADRA as succession certificate and objections, if any, can be filed in the court of law subsequently.
