The country's most parts are likely to witness a hot and humid weather in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Wednesday. A rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at a few places in Malakand and Rawalpindi Divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan over the period with a partly cloudy weather in Karachi, it added.
High temperature simmered Sibbi, Noorpur Thal and Bhakkar, each, with 42 degrees Celsius, Rahim Yar Khan and Dadu, each, 41 on Wednesday as weather in the country's most parts remained hot and humid over the past 24 hours. About 21 mm of rain fell in Islamabad's Saidpur, 20 mm in Kasur and 10 mm in Risalpur, it said that "seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. A westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country". Temperature in Karachi is likely to range up to 34 degrees Celsius on Sep 6 and Sep 7 (Thursday and Friday) with 80 percent humidity.
