Minister for Health Punjab, Dr Yasmin Rashid Wednesday paid a surprise visit of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital and Holy Family Hospital and inspected the provision of various health facilities.
While examining emergency and other sections of the respective hospitals, the minister issued instructions for further improvement in the health facility. She also talked with the patients and their attendants. "No stone will be left unturned to make health sector an exemplary department", she assured the patients.
Dr Yasmin Rashid observed that provision of standard medical facility was right of patients. She sought a detailed report regarding lapses in Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital and said that short and long term strategies would be adopted to enhance facilities at emergency, labour rooms and Gynae wards. "Purpose of my simultaneous visits to different hospitals across the Punjab was to observe the actual situation" she said. Minister Health noted that concentration on problems of doctors was necessary to revive trust of general masses on public health sector.
