Due to excessive financial pressures, upbringing of underprivileged children has become very challenging in Pakistan.
In our society, one of the biggest challenges faced underprivileged children is access to quality education and low standard of living, and fall prey to wayward attitudes.
Unfortunately, the faces of poverty stricken and underprivileged children and abandoned children can make anyone sad but the question is, are you ready the turn that frown upside down? The Philanthropic organization SOS Village not only provides these living souls safe and loving homes but they also call for attention to children in need worldwide.
To bring happiness to these children living in the SOS Village, two hundred children from SOS Village Faisalabad were taken to the largest outlet of Breakout in Faisalabad on the 4th of September to get the clothes of their own choice.
We could see how thrilled they were to be able to choose from a galore of lovely clothes and gratify one of the most basic needs known to man. Perhaps, this initiative could bring some contentment to the lives of these deprived young children for some time.
This couldn't have been possible without the cooperation of this generous, humanitarian welfare organization with Pakistan's leading clothing brand Breakout that chose to draw attention towards the children that are mostly neglected by our society.
They say 'Look at the world with a child's eyes, it's beautiful'. The question is how would these little eyes that are filled with sadness be able to see beauty? But that day I could see that their eyes that were sad, colourless and faded in the morning were filled with delight and joyfulness by the afternoon.
Later to my surprise, they took the children to McDonalds for lunch.
No child ever shuns fast food so it was another way to give them a gratifying, pleasing feeling. I could only see beautiful smiling faces and small hands holding toys they got in their happy meals as far as my eyes could reach.
I could imagine the anticipation they were feeling to go back to their loving home away from real home and enjoy the presents they received that were unlikely for them to get otherwise.-PR
