Orientation for Fall 2018 entrants in Information Technology University (ITU) Punjab was held for BS, MS and PhD programs here today. ITU's founding Vice Chancellor Dr Umar Saif informed the incoming batch that ITU never compromised on merit and this year the acceptance rate at ITU was less than 2%. Almost 25,000 applications were received out of which 10,000 applicants made it to the test, and admission was offered only to 560 students.
The Deans, Heads of Departments and faculty welcomed all the students, followed by a brief overview of the research work conducted in their respective departments and the industrial projects ongoing at the University.
Student societies at ITU including; Voice, Artists, Dramatic and sports had put up stalls and organized different activities to interact with the new students.
