Deputy Commander Kanigaram area, Colonel Ali Jafri on Sunday inaugurated a hydropower plant built with cooperation of Pakistan Army in South Waziristan. In the first phase, electricity has been provided to residents of 100 homes of Badar Gigakhel area on Pakistan-Afghanistan border in South Waziristan.
Speaking after inaugurating the hydro-power plant, Colonel Ali Jafri said the army is also working on health, education, and other development projects after restoration of peace in the area. The local tribesmen have hailed Pakistan Army for providing electricity in a far-flung area of the country.
