Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar has under section 144 CrPC has banned pillion riding, wall chalking, distribution of objectionable pamphlets till 10th Muharram-Ul-Haram in the district. Similarly, pasting of posters on walls especially on Mosques/Imam Bargas and all kinds of wall chalking, printing/circulation of objectionable material, display/carriage of weapons, vehicles having fake/unregistered/applied for numbers, use of loud speakers other than Aazan and Khutabas on Friday.
The entry of Afghan refugees into Peshawar and Cantonment areas, sale and use of fire crackers, opening of shops of dealing in acid, and sale of acid, business of renting of cars and motors cycles., sale of diesel/petrol/kerosene oil and other fuels in shops and open areas, use of tinted glasses in vehicles have also been banned in the district.
Furthermore, standing on the roof tops of buildings/houses in the surrounding of processions routes and Imam Bargas and staying of strangers in hotels/Sarais and houses which fall on the routes of processions and Imam Bargas premises.
Anyone found violating these bans shall be proceeded against under section 188 P.P.C. This order shall come into force forthwith and shall remain enforced for 10-days from (1st Muharram to 10th Muharram) unless modified or withdrawn.
