Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq, with the approval of the JI Central Shoora and Punjab provincial Shoora, has divided the JI Punjab into three units - central, northern and southern units. The central unit would include Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions. The northern unit would comprise Rawalpindi and Sargodha divisions, Islamabad district and two districts of Gujranwala division - Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin. The southern unit comprises Multan, Bahawalpur and DG Khan divisions. The JI Chief has called a meeting of Shoora of all three units.
