A 25-member cultural troupe of Pakistan is participating in the 5th Silk Road International Arts Festival, started from September 7 in Shaanxi province of China. The cultural troupe comprised of artists of National Performing Arts (NPA) of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
The annual festival would continue till September 21 with all its cultural festivities. Around 20 countries and regions including Pakistan, as well as 11 China provinces will present 83 stage shows during two-week long festival. Five special events will be held concurrently, including "2018 International Young Sinologist Workshop (Xian)", "2018 International modern Art Week", "2018 International Children's Drama Week", "2018 International Creative Animation & Cartoon Week" and "2018 Silk Road Chang'an University Student Arts Festival".
The festival is being organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, the Silk Road International Arts Festival is held on an annual basis. Shaanxi is the permanent host.
