Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority on Monday launched operation school mission across the Province. A Communiqué shared with media reads that Operation Mission School kicked off in all seven divisional districts after receiving number of complaints from parents against the schools administration.
It further reads that more than two hundred schools have been inspected on the first day. The schools canteens were checked for loose chips and Papad while the teams were more focused on clean drinking water supply.
According to the media release teams shown deep concerns over unhygienic water supply. It reveals that more than ninety percent schools tanks were found contaminated. Government and private schools were checked equally where one hundred and eighty schools were given notices over bad sanitation.
"Most of the students have no option, but to drink tap water. Ninety percent schools have been found without water filtration plants.
The schools mission crackdown will continue for the whole week and reports of the mission will shared with media at the end of the week" communiqué reads. It is pertinent to mention that KP Food Authority has received more than hundred complaints from parents regarding bad schools administrations. The parents shown concerns over drinking water and canteens. More over delivering awareness session is also part of this mission.
