On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,488. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 7.210 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,191.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.469 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.373 million, NSDQ100 PKR 1.254 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 772.382 million, silver PKR 513.380 million, platinum PKR 465.790 million, DJ PKR 210.904 million, natural gas PKR 102.311 million, SP500 PKR 21.026 million, copper PKR 9.488 million and Brent crude oil PKR 8.377 million. In agriculture two lots of cotton amounting to PKR 0.983 million were traded.
