Leading industrialist Shabir Ahmed has been elected un-opposed chairman of Pakistan Bedwear Exporters Association (PBEA) for the year 2018-19. According to election result, Wasim Latif has been elected as senior vice chairman and Shoaib Majeed as vice chairman of the association.
Shabir Ahmed is eminent manufacturer and exporter of Bedwear and Patron-In-Chief of PBEA. He has wide experience of the textile sector and was awarded 'CHEVALIER DE L'ORDRE NATIONAL DU MERITE' by the Government of France in May-2016 for his services and business relation.
Wasim Latif is also one of the eminent exporters of Bedwear and based in Faisalabad, he was former chairman of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association. Shabir Ahmed has also served in the Advisory Board of State bank of Pakistan (SBP) and as a member of Export Development Fund of the Ministry of Commerce.
