Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq has said the PTI had assured the nation that it would break the begging bowl for good and would never seek IMF loan, was now negotiating with the IMF.
Addressing the Shoora of the JI Women wing at Mansoora, he said if the PTI had implemented its election manifesto taking the bold decision of freeing economy from interest and enforced the system of Zakat and Ushr, it would have received divine blessings on one hand, and given a new courage and satisfaction to the people on the other hand. JI deputy chief Hafiz Muhammad Idrees was also present on the occasion.
Siraj-ul-Haq said on one hand, the government was getting oil from Saudi Arabia on deferred payment, while on the other hand it was preparing to approach the IMF. He said on IMF directive, the government had already raised the prices of gas, electricity, cement and fertilizer besides around 1800 items of day to day use. He said the situation had highly disappointed the masses. He said the government had also decided to cut down the value of Pak rupee which would sharply increase the quantum of internal as well as external loans and the rupee would become a worthless piece of paper.
Siraj said if the government choose the respectable path of self reliance instead of falling in the IMF trap once again; the nation would be ready to offer maximum help to the rulers. Referring to the women role in the society, Siraj said the women had always played leading role in bringing about revolutions. The women had supported the prophets of Allah and stood with the forces of righteousness against evil, he added.
He said the women were the custodians of the homes and were rendering valuable services in the upbringing of the young generations according to the old Islamic traditions. The JI chief said that the women mostly were the target of the invasion of the western culture. He said the Pakistani women were not getting their due rights given to them by Allah and His Prophet. He urged the women of the country to come forward and play their part in the building a Islamic and prosperous Pakistan.
