The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) on Wednesday organized extensive cleanliness awareness activity in Iqbal Town, Lahore, followed by a meeting with trader association of the Moon market. The awareness activity was led by LWMC Head of Communication Jamil Khawar and students of Allied School, Rescue 1122 workers and social mobilization team took part in it.
On the occasion, a special cleanliness awareness camp was set up in the market and awareness literature and waste bags were distributed among the masses. While talking to media, Jamil Khawar said that the LWMC is making extra ordinary arrangements regarding cleanliness in the city; organizing such awareness drive is an essential part to raise awareness among the citizens, so that they shoulder equal responsibility to maintain cleanliness in the city.
