Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad has directed that the scope of anti-encroachment campaign should be expanded up to residential areas under coordinated strategy by the concerned departments and drastic action be taken against the land grabbers to vacate the state land from them. He stated this while presiding over the meeting to review the pace of anti-encroachment drive in the district.
He directed the officers of Housing Department, FDA, Municipal Corporation, Auqaf, Health and Education Department to devise action plan for the retrieval of occupied land from the grabbers and said that the district administration would provide full legal and administrative support in this regard.
He appointed the Assistant Commissioner City as focal person to supervise the crackdown against the land grabbers and encroachments and directed for consolidating all resources to make the anti-encroachment operation a success.
He directed for pursuing the cases before the courts to file the delaying tactics of land grabbers and said that the stay orders of the court should be vacated through solid arguing before the honourable courts.
He directed for carrying out the operation against land grabbers with full legal power and force. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to provide the complete details of the land under illegal possession and litigation. He said that performance report should be submitted daily regarding the anti encroachment drive. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad visited the eight bazaars of clock tower and other adjoining areas. He inspected the removal of encroachments during operation. AC Sadar Liaqat Ali Kalhoro, Chief Officer MCF Zubair Hussain were also accompanied with him.
