Twitter flooded with memes over Vivek Oberoi’s first look as Indian PM Modi
The first official poster of the biopic based on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was released yesterday, featuring Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi essaying the role of Indian PM in the movie.
Soon after the poster was released, people started flooding Twitter with memes and comments about one of the most controversial Indian political leader. In the movie, which has been titled as ‘PM Narendra Modi’, Vivek is seen in a saffron colour kurta, a white beard and spectacles.
The poster features actor standing in front of the Indian tricolor flag. While many praised Vivek for portraying the role of Modi, many other also criticized him for essaying the role of such a controversial figure.

Vivek is excited to play Modi on-screen. “I am extremely fortunate. Today, I am feeling what I felt 16 years ago, during ‘Company’ days. I am feeling the same kind of excitement and hunger because this is the role of a lifetime for any actor. I pray that at the end of the journey, I become a better actor and a better human being,” he said during the poster launch of the film.
“Narendra bhai is one of the biggest leaders in the world and to bring his personality and qualities on screen is an incredible challenge. I want all your blessings to complete this incredible journey,” Indian Express quoted him.
The film will go on floor later this month and will release in 23 languages. The rest of the star cast is yet to be announced.
