The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) on Sunday demolished three illegal marriage halls constructed on the government land in North Nazimabad area of the metropolis. KDA's Estate and Enforcement squad using heavy machinery demolished Florence Garden Marriage Hall, Mehdi Marriage Lawn and Sohail Anwar Marriage Hall, an officer of the Authority said here.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Director General KDA Sami-uddin Siddiqui in the presence the area police. The DG of the authority on the occasion also directed the officers concerned to enhance action against encroachments to vacate encroached state land in the city. He ordered to initiate operation against land mafia on war-footing basis.
