KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Rabita Committee on Tuesday sent a notice to former party leader Dr Farooq Sattar over illegal use of the party’s name, electoral symbol and flag.

A MQM-Pakistan spokesperson said that Dr Farooq Sattar has been using his party’s name for getting attention. He also warned that legal action would be taken if Sattar doesn’t stop this.

Earlier, on 13th September 2018 Dr Farooq Sattar had resigned as a member of the party’s Rabita Committee. He had sent his resignation to party’s convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

Later, a party meeting held at the Bahadurabad office of the MQM-P accepted Farooq Sattar’s resignation from before issuing him a notice over alleged violation of discipline, and announcing a 22-member committee.
