National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Sunday said Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation next week. Talking to media in Swabi where he cast his vote in the by-polls, Qaiser said, "PM Imran will address people next week, adding that the PTI government would fulfill the expectations of the nation and assured that recent rise in prices would soon come down and there is nothing to be worried about.
The NA speaker said the voting process was being carried out in a transparent manner and expressed his satisfaction over the voters' turnout. He said it's usual that the turnout during by-election remain low, but we were trying to bring people out of their homes to cast votes. "We have brought out realities first time and informed the nation about economic situations, Qaiser said while talking about the government priorities. Discussing the country's economic situation, the Speaker said inflation is temporary but the issue is extremely being propagated by the opposition parties. He added that those misusing the situation and fleecing people will be taken to task.
It is pertinent to mention here that Aqibullah Khan, brother of Asad Qaiser, is contesting by-election on PK-44 Swabi, which was vacated by Qaiser by retaining National Assembly seat.
