The Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan has accorded approval to set up a non-profit National Institute of Human Resource Management NIHRM effective October 09, 2018. The NIHRM has been set up by industry HR leaders and professional. The institute will introduce international HR standards of professional competence and performance delivery.
It will groom human resource management professionals as harbinger of change, create HR policy framework for enabling workplace environments and build human capacity of organizations in public and private sector, said a press release issued here on Friday.
"This is a big step forward for HR fraternity in Pakistan" said Zahid Mubarak, President SHRM Forum Pakistan. "The NIHRM will help us achieve the goal to regulate the HR profession in the country. It will function as a key driving force for human capital development to increase productivity and performance". Mubarak further elaborated that vision of NIHRM is to accelerate Pakistan's economic development through effective skills and deployment of workforce. -PR
