Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Monday criticized Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari for his disparaging remarks against the present government and said that once again it has proved that Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are two sides of the same coin. "Both 'brothers' are supporting each other to hide corruption," he said while commenting on the recent press conference by Zardari.
He further said that after realizing that no plea can save him from accountability, he (Zardari) is making such statements. "For the last many years, Prime Minister Imran Khan has been rightly saying that these corrupt leaders have looted the national exchequer for their personal motives and plundered funds in the name of democracy," he added.
He observed that their 'third act of the political drama' will also flop and the masses will know the true faces of these leaders. "It is irony that Zardari is willing to shake hands with the same person (Shahbaz Sharif) who had openly pledged to "cut his belly' and recover the loot money, and drag him on the roads," he added.
The Minister claimed that all the opponents are now joining hands to give a tough time to Imran Khan who has pledged to introduce a corruption-free system in the country. He also said that the nation deserve to know who is responsible for mess in the country if both Sharif and Zardari did not loot the country. "Every sector is in a state of bankruptcy; in Punjab alone cheques exceeding Rs 80 billion have bounced," he added. "They (Nawaz and Zardari) are joining hands to destabilize the democratic system. Holding a fresh election is not a joke; the masses have given their mandate to the present government to run the country for 5 years and their dream of a new government will never get materialized," he added.
