The People's Republic of China's envoy to Pakistan Yao Jing called on Federal Minister for Privatisation Mohammedmian Soomro here Tuesday. The envoy discussed matters of mutual interest and the progress of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). China and Pakistan enjoyed deep rooted friendly relations, which have now started benefiting the South Asia region, the envoy added.
The Minister Mohammedmian Soomro said that the people and the governments were closely related to each other and Pakistan was all set to prosper and progress with the cooperation and the experience of the great Chinese nation. Chinese investors could play lead role through competitive participation in Pakistan's privatisation program, the Minister said.
The Chinese envoy said that Pakistan has vast potential for Chinese companies as the presence of Chinese firms in telecommunication, energy and other sectors could be extended to further transform existing relations into economic activity. The Chinese envoy has assured the fullest cooperation in terms of Pakistan export to China and he was very confident that the forthcoming visit of the Pakistani premier to china would be a land mark between the trades of two countries.-PR
