Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani on Tuesday administered the oath to six newly elected members of provincial assembly (MPA), who were elected in recently held by elections.
The PA speaker congratulated the MPAs for being elected as members of the assembly, who included Liaquat Khattak, Ibrahim Khattak, Aqibullah Khan, Abdus Salam, Aghaz Ikramullah Gandapur of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Samar Haroon Bilour of Awami National Party.
While expressing her views on the floor, Samar Haroon Bilaur termed her victory against terrorism and thanked the workers of Awami National Party (ANP) of PK-78 to reposing their trust and electing her the member of the provincial assembly.
Aghaz Ikramullah Gandapur said that his family members were also part of the KP assembly who raised voices for the rights of the people of the area. He ensured the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to work hard for promotion of the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Expressing concern over forcing the Sikh community to wear helmet and abandon Kirpal (dagger) while entering government departments or cantonment areas, minority MPA Rajeet Singh said that Turban and Kirpal were important parts of their faith so they could not wear helmet owing to turban. He appealed the authorities for withdrawing the decision for Sikh community.
