The three-day prestigious 35th Millat Tractors Governor's Cup Golf Tournament begins at Lahore Gymkhana Course with 66 bunkers, 6 water hazards and out of bound 18 holes and par 72 layout, here on Thursday. 276 men amateurs, seniors, veterans, ladies and junior golfers from across the country are participating in the tournament held every year in the month of October in a congenial and delightful weather in Lahore. The organizers of tournament announced.
Schedule of the competition here on Thursday as under:
Net and Gross events for Men Amateurs will be held over 3 rounds (totally 54 holes with 18 holes each day from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October 2018, The participating golfers should have a handicap of 14 and below. 127 well known golfers are participating in this category.
Net and Gross events for Seniors will be held over 18 holes on 27th October . The participating senior golfers should be above 55 years of age and less than 70 years and have a handicap of 16 and below. 75 senior golfers are competing in this category.
Net and Gross events for Veterans will be held over nine holes on Friday. The veteran golfers should in the age bracket of 70 years and above and have a handicap of 18 and below. Net and Gross events for ladies will be held over 36 holes from Saturday to Sunday. The participating ladies golfers should have a handicap of 36 and below. 28 lady golf players are in the field to exhibit their skills and expertise.
Net and Gross events for juniors will be held on Sunday 28th October, The junior golfers should have a handicap of 18 and below. They should be below the age of 18 years. Only four junior golfers are contesting in this category. Main Trophy will be awarded to the champion with best net score.
