"Nurses are providing their services not only for patients and hospitals but also for community and humanity. We cannot deny their notable services in the field of medical. They take care of patients with sincerity and wholeheartedly. They have right to proud themselves because they play the role of mother", said Shabbir Jhatial, Director General, Nursing Sindh, as a chief guest on Patient Safety seminar and Lamp Lighting ceremony, organized by the Ziauddin College of Nursing to highlight the importance of patient safety in nursing profession.
While addressing the event Shabbir Jhatial appreciated and motivated all the efforts of nurses and said Nurses are always at the forefront of health care, and they are the first contact with the patients. They should use their theoretical thinking and practical wisdom for not only the betterment of patients but also meet the standard of their profession.
While talking about patient safety and care, Special Guest of the event, Khairunnisa Akbar, Controller Sindh Nursing Educational Board, said that the ratio of people dying from road accidents is increasing day by day.
"We need to provide urgent treatment to the patients as we receive such cases and for this we need proper trained nurses in hospitals. Global health cannot be achieved without nurses and without our proactive contribution and participation at all levels of the healthcare system," he added.
Barrister Ali Tahir, speaker of the event talking about the Litigation and Patient's Right stated that the patients have all the rights to take you to the court, he can sue you for his damages not only this but judge can also ask you to pay the patient if he had face financial loss because of your negligence. So be very careful while treating patients this profession needs perfection in all aspects.
