Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said on Friday that bad governance and mismanagement of former chief minister Punjab Shahabaz Sharif had destroyed the province. He said this while talking to members of the Press Gallery of Punjab Assembly accompanied with provincial Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chauhan.
He also said he had constituted a parliamentary committee which would probe the increase of cost and delay in the projects including Surgical Tower, Wazirabad Cardiology Centre and Murree Water Supply Project during the tenure of former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. He also said that Committee would fix the responsibility and submits its report in two months.
Elahi congratulated PM Imran Khan on his successful visit of Saudi Arabia. He also appreciated Imran Khan for giving subsidy to farmers on electricity. He stressed his hope that Imran Khan's visit of China and Gulf Countries would be successful, and added that during Imran Khan's visit to China projects would be reviewed.
