Defending Champion Pakistan WAPDA will face strong Pakistan Army in the final of the ongoing 14th National Women Volleyball Championship being played at PSB Coaching Center here on Saturday.
The grand final of the Championship will be played on Sunday at 2.00 pm. Pakistan Army has an edge over Pakistan WAPDA when it secured victory in the group match after 13 long years and certainly there will be a tough contests expecting by volleyball pundits in the final.
Strong WAPDA, having services of some veteran players, recorded victory against young Punjab team in straight sets 3-0 in the first semi-final while Army over-powered HEC 3-0 in another one-sided affair semi-final. In the second semi-final strong Pakistan Army defeated Higher Education Commission team in straight sets 3-0, the score was 25-18, 25-16 and 25-17.
Army, a strong title contender, defeated HEC by 3-0 and setup a final showdown against Pakistan WAPDA. Army fully dominated the proceedings and did not give much room to HEC to strike back.
