Newsman among four killed in Charsadda firing

Four people, including General Secretary of the Charsadda Press Club Ahsan Sherpao, were shot dead in district Charsadda on Tuesday over an alleged domestic dispute. According to the police, the suspect, Arshad Jamal, shot dead his mother, sister-in-law and a two-year-old nephew over a dispute. He then fled from the scene and came across Ahsan Sherpao on the way, who was in his car. The suspect also shot at the senior journalist, who died on the spot. Sherpao was the suspect's cousin. The police said the suspect is a drug addict and had also killed his wife prior to the incident.
