Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, Aamir Mehmood Kiani has said the government will provide no relief to any corrupt person in the country. While talking to media persons outside the Parliament House here on Tuesday, Kiani said there was no national reconciliation ordinance (NRO) for the corrupt people of any party in the country.
He said it would be good if opposition convened All-Parties Conference (APC) on national issues instead of personal interests. He said that unfortunately, opposition parties' agenda had been only related to personal interests, saying they had never organised any such APC on the national issues.
The minister said APC was good tradition, but it must be held on national issues. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would not offer an NRO to any political leader. He said PTI got two-third-majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to reforms in the institutions, adding Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had become regional parties in wake of poor governance as well as incurred billions of rupees losses to the national kitty. Later on, Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed talking to reporters said the PTI government would depoliticise police and all other institutions of the country.
He said the PTI government in KPK depoliticised all the institutions, adding that on the same pattern the reforms would be brought at the federal level. He said the government was working over reforms to strengthen each institution economically. The minister said the country was facing economic crisis in the aftermath of corruption committed by previous regimes.
He said the leadership of PPP and PML-N was doing politics for personal gains, saying they were responsible for the losses being faced by each institution of the country. He said the PTI government was making efforts to enhance the revenue of institutions and eradicate corruption from the country.
Talking about the opposition's APC, the minister said the opposition had been exposed as earlier they claimed to conduct accountability of each other but that day they were united to safeguard their interests. He said the government would continue the accountability process in the country and also bring back the looted money from abroad. He said that government had already signed a memorandum of understanding with Britain in this regard. He said the government had also approached Switzerland and other countries for having cooperation in conduct of investigations in money laundering cases.
