On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,597. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 27.999 billion and the number of lots traded 30,408.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 16.548 billion, followed by DJ PKR 6.275 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.561 billion, gold PKR 1.191 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 918.004 million, silver PKR 761.828 million, copper PKR 237.181 million, platinum PKR 235.303 million, SP500 PKR 208.741 million, natural gas PKR 48.883 million and Brent crude oil PKR 13.023 million. In agriculture commodities 28,186 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 8.420 million and 11 lots of cotton valued at PKR 10.357 million were traded.
