All private and government schools in Lahore and across Punjab will remain closed today while it is expected that colleges and universities in Lahore will also remain closed. According to the announcement by government of Punjab due to traffic disruption and law and order situation in the country after the Supreme Court acquitted Asia Bibi in the blasphemy case on Wednesday educational institutes will remain closed today.
All Pakistan Private Schools Federation announced that all the private schools in Pakistan shall further remain closed on tomorrow Friday 2nd November 2018 due to the serious security reasons to protect the students, teachers and schools as part of measures to step up security. Kashif Mirza President APPSF demanded that government should provide special security to the schools. The intermediate supplementary exam 2018 papers to be held on November 2 and 3 under all the boards in Punjab including Lahore board are also postponed. New dates will be announced afterwards.
While the Punjab University has also postponed exams going to be held on November 2 (today). According to the spokesperson of the PU new dates of the exams will be announced later. Earlier, schools and colleges and universities across Punjab were remained closed on Thursday in the wake of countrywide protests.
