Colonel Imran Yaqub (retd), Managing Director Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), while presiding over the weekly coordination meeting to review progress and performance of various PEF programmes has directed that the issues of schools partnering with PEF must be addressed considerately, on priority basis and within the stipulated time period.
Deputy Managing Director Finance, along with Director ADU, Director M&E, Programme Directors and other PEF officials participated the meeting to discuss the payments of partner schools, annual quality assurance test etc besides other official issues related to the partnering schools.
The MD PEF directed his staff to treat the partner school owners in a decent way. He also emphasized to resolve the outstanding issues of partner schools at the earliest and to guide the partner school owners about PEF rules and regulation very caringly.
The PEF officials have also been directed to ensure regular meetings with the school owners between 10 am to 12 pm, to solve their problems amiably. According to the spokesperson, the annual Quality Assurance Test (QAT) for session 2018-19 are scheduled from December 3, 2018 to January 31, 2019, except during the winter vacations to be announced by the provincial government.
The annual QAT will be conducted simultaneously across all educational programmes i.e. FAS, EVS and NSP. Simultaneously, Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) will conduct evaluation test of teachers and head teachers of partner schools, who have completed the Teacher Development Programme (TDP) and School Leadership Programme (SLP) I & II this year.
The spokesperson added that the current QAT will be conducted from grades 2 to 8 including PEC classes and secondary classes will be taken on absence of elementary classes. In case of higher secondary classes, either first year or second year will take the test.
The spokesperson shared information that instead of the whole number, the students will be chosen from PEF-SIS by application software of international system for the test and 10 percent exemption will be given in case of absenteeism. Moreover, the list of tested students will be issued with pictures and same will be verified during QAT. The spokesperson further added that this QAT is of immense significance in terms of continuity of partnership-agreements of partner schools with PEF.
