Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Thursday decreased price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 15 per kilogram for the month of November. Following the price reduction as per notification of the Authority, domestic cylinder will be sold at Rs 1,509 instead of Rs 1,673 and commercial cylinder will be available at Rs 5,805 instead of Rs 6,478 across the country.
On Thursday, the OGRA notified that in respect of indigenous LPG that maximum producer price will be Rs 69,634.05/Mt, margins of marketing and distribution companies will be Rs 35,000/MT and consumer price will be Rs 109,303/MT. The petroleum levy will be charged at Rs 4,669/Mt and 17 percent GST (Rs 18,581/MT). The price of per 11.8-kg cylinder is Rs 1,509.03. Chairman All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar expressed confidence that the consumers would get uninterrupted supply of the LPG, especially in far-flung areas, at controlled rates during the winter. He appreciated the government for effectively tackling the "mafia" which had been making money in peak winter season through black-marketing.
