On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,580. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 8.902 billion and the number of lots traded 11,755. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 3.582 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.125 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.315 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 798.970 million, DJ PKR 502.621 million, SP500 PKR 149.798 million, silver PKR 145.683 million, natural gas PKR 100.036 million, platinum PKR 95.706 million, copper PKR 51.482 million and Brent crude oil PKR 34.828 million. In agriculture commodities 33,758 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 9.874 million and 3 lots of cotton valued at PKR 6.107 million were traded.
