The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) had issued over 5 million 'Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHS) forms till date as the applicants are taking keen interest in the housing project. An official told Agency here Wednesday that the process of submitting the NPHS forms was continuing simultaneously along with the issuance of the forms. He said that long queues of aspirants were observed on the first day for getting the forms.
NADRA has also launched mobile van registration service to facilitate NPHS applicants as masses thronged Authority's head office immediately after kicking off of the process that has been given the task of collecting to identify those in need, he said.
He said that after mobile van registration initiative taken by the government, the rush had already been subsidized as the forms were available easily. He said the step would not only accelerate the form submission process, but would also encourage the applicants of the project. The aspirants could download forms and could submit them with respective housing programme offices till December 21, 2018, he added.
He said that major aim behind the initiative was to provide quick service to NPHS aspirants to save their precious time and to accommodate maximum number of contenders. He said the staff had been trained for serving the people in best possible way. The mobile service would be available from 9am to 11pm, he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government has announced to construct five million houses especially for homeless people. The government has already established Naya Pakistan Housing Authority under the Ministry of Housing and Works. A special Prime Minister's Task Force had already been constituted to monitor and supervise the project.
