A division bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday issued notice to Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) chairman in a contempt of court case. A division bench of the SHC comprising of Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Sheikh and Justice Omar Sial took up the petition filed by Abdullah, who stated that commission (SPSC) is going to fill the grade-19 post of Additional Prosecutor General Sindh without announcing the result of written test that is against principles of merit and transparency.
The court directed the concerned authorities to submit the reply against the contempt of court case by November 16, 2018. Meanwhile, SHC also issued notices to the Advocate General Sindh and others in a petition related to termination of services of employees of Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Authority.
Taking up the identical petitions of employees of the authority, who were sacked from their services, court directed the concerned authorities to submit their replies when the court would resume the hearing of the case. Employees said they were dismissed from jobs after having served the authority for few years. They were now told that they secured the marks below the required numbers in NTS test.
