The district administration of the federal capital Saturday conducted a raid on two prominent sweets outlets and imposed fines for not maintaining general cleanliness. According to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mohammad Hamza Shafqaat, the raid was conducted after complaints were received from the citizens.
"On complaints made against Fresco and Jameel Sweets, Blue Area, a team comprising Food Department officials, assistant commissioner city and SHO was sent to inspect the premises," he tweeted. He further stated that no major violations were found but Rs 30,000 fine was imposed on Fresco and Rs 25,000 on Jameel Sweets for not maintaining general cleanliness.
